About me

Nothing here was
part of a masterplan.

I followed the work, paid attention to what could be better and built the next thing from there.

In my own words

I’ve never thought of the businesses as separate ideas. They’re chapters in the same story — each one shaped by time spent actually doing the job.

01

The first events

It started at university. I was running student events with a business partner who knew I could DJ and, eventually, persuaded me to get behind the decks myself. As the nights grew, we were hiring more production equipment every week. Buying a few lights felt like a practical way to reduce the bill. It turned out to be the start of something much bigger.

02

Building Show Pro

When I moved away from event promotion, I formalised the production side as Show Professional AV. Small lighting packages became complete technical production. The principle stayed simple: make events easier for the people behind them. Good kit matters, but so do calm thinking, honest conversations and a crew who genuinely understands the event.

03

A career behind the decks

DJing kept developing alongside the company. More than a decade later, it has taken me into major venues, regular residencies and international touring with artists. I’m proud of that journey. These days I care less about chasing every booking and more about choosing the right rooms, the right events and the right reasons to play.

04

Raising the standard

Silvano Events came from seeing how much better wedding and private-event entertainment could be. It is not about the stereotypical wedding DJ package. It is about creating a moment that feels considered, current and completely right for the people in the room — with Show Pro able to support the production behind it.

05

Turning experience into software

Running an entertainment business exposed the limits of the systems available to DJs. Nothing combined the functionality, price and customer experience I wanted, so I started building Gigora for our own use. A close friend saw it, told me other DJs needed it too, and the internal tool became a live SaaS platform.

Away from the desk

I’m usually watching a race, finding somewhere good to eat or thinking about the next piece of technology I probably don’t need.

Formula 1 is the big one. I also care increasingly about the footprint of the choices I make — personally, in events and in the infrastructure behind Gigora. I don’t pretend to have it solved. I just think it is worth asking better questions.
